Electronic Health Records are employed for critical elements of patient care including documentation, provider and patient communication, quality analyses, ordering, medication prescribing, and reconciliation; as such they are also central to Clinical Science. Students first learn the conceptual framework both for medical billing and for the use of electronic health records in medical documentation and patient management. Then by working through exercises of increasing difficulty that simulate use of an EHR, students develop transferable skills needed to manage the required software tasks across the total patient encounter. The course will teach you how to use ChartSynergy Electronic Health record system.
