HDPTC successfully organized a free eye outreach at its headquarters in Nsukka, which began on Tuesday, 13th October 2026, and runs through Thursday, 15th October 2026. A total of 120 patients attended. Prior to the screening exercise, a sensitization session was held, during which the ophthalmology doctors present educated both the staff and the visiting patients on common eye diseases, such as glaucoma, and on preventive measures for protecting their eyesight. Alongside the screening, free reading eyeglasses and medications were distributed to the patients who needed them. The outreach has been well attended and is proceeding successfully, reflecting HDPTC’s commitment to promoting eye health and improving access to basic eye care for its staff and the community.
