On Aug-Sep 2026, Book of Life Ministries, through HDPTC and led by Director Evangelist Clifford Masambuka, used the funds received to run four free blood pressure screening outreach days in Zomba City between August and September 2026, combining health awareness with evangelism. The team screened 2,187 people aged 21 to 76, gave health talks on hypertension, diet, salt reduction and exercise, prayed for the sick, and held door-to-door evangelism. Everyone with elevated or high BP was referred to the nearest health centres. One beneficiary, Mrs. Esnart of Geremu Village, learned her BP was high, went to the clinic, and is now on treatment. The community welcomed the service, 188 people gave their lives to Christ, and the outreach opened doors for church planting and Bible studies. The funds went on mentholated spirit, cotton wool, batteries, car hire, a mobile sound speaker, food for community health workers, registers, printed referral cards and airtime, with all receipts kept in the financial reports. The main challenges were high demand for diabetes testing without enough glucometers and test kits, and high transport costs due to fuel prices. Going forward, the ministry plans monthly BP screening in both centres, outreaches in schools and churches, and training for 6 more volunteer Health Evangelists. It requests additional support for diabetes testing kits and IEC (information, education, communication) materials.
