On August 21st and 27th, 2025, the Heart Disease Prevention and Training Center (HDPTC) organized a successful two-day free medical outreach program for the Amachalla community in Enugu-Ezike. The event was held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Amachalla, and was attended by 128 individuals.
During the outreach, two of our staff members delivered informative health talks on crucial topics such as cardiovascular risk factors, blood sugar control, and heart-healthy food intake. These talks empowered the attendees with valuable knowledge to take charge of their health.
The outreach program provided medical attention(Blood Pressure and Blood sugar check) to 128 individuals, with some being referred to the hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The team was warmly received by the Parish Priest, who expressed gratitude for the initiative and encouraged the team to continue their humanitarian work. He also extended an invitation for future collaborations, highlighting the community’s need for such services.
The HDPTC team is grateful for the opportunity to serve the Amachalla community and looks forward to continuing its mission of promoting heart health and disease prevention.
